From singing, dance & mime,to bodybeats and all that is brought forward from the audience plus further onstage collaborations with select artists and musicians -

ABOUT:
Three Colours Red are a musical/arts project based in Barcelona.
They are musically influenced by old school Hip Hop, Folk & Blues and interested in working the body, voice and audience in new and innovative ways.
In concert the band puts much emphasis on audience participation and they also work with different artists/musicians whilst always keeping the dynamic of three people.
The artists (Mr Marvel & Niña Ardilla) write and work with concious lyrics (sung in English and Spanish) and resolution through positive sounds which makes for a potent, dynamic and energetic acoustic show. Formed in 2009, their rich two year history has seen them play in many places from Prisons, Bars, Festivals and Theatres , self producing a debut album whilst appearing in Mondo Sonoro, Le Cool, El Pais and El Periódico.
The band are also the producers of a series of short films that explore the themes of their songs further, the songwriting process and their collaborations with different artists.
Creators of workshops which enable the audience to further collaborate with them on stage and learn new skills in singing, improvisation and body beats – this is an open project without social or artistic boundaries.
Recorded with Miss Mustard (aka Sofia Granato) ´The Last Tree on Earth´, is an old school sounding record inspired by the old recordings and distorted beauty of Robert Johnson, the crackle and pop of early r`n´b and the communal warmth of a young Bob Marley.
They did this by putting one stereo mic in a room in Barcelona, and just played and played, finishing by embelishing with an electric guitar and a little studio trickery so it sounds and plays like an old LP.
What you hear is an performance over perfection and a band free from the sonic shackles of the cut,copy,paste environment of modern day recording.
They really enjoyed making this record , and hope you enjoy listening to it!
